Campaign Custom Descriptions are column headers used for reporting within the Mongoose Metrics Dashboard. Many times these headers are used when a customer’s data is imported from another vendor’s database.
Examples of these custom fields include email address and client name of the campaign caller.
There are two levels of Campaign Custom Descriptions: Account and Campaign. The Account level is the highest level. Adding a Campaign Custom Description at the Account level will make it available to choose at the Campaign level. For example: A customer has two campaigns where they need to add Custom Descriptions. First the customer will add the Description at the Account level. Then, the customer can go into each separate campaign and add in the Custom Descriptions from the drop down menu.
To manage the list of “Campaign Custom Data Descriptions” at the Account level:
Click on the "account Details" tab on the top navigation bar and select the "Profile" option.
Click on the "Manage" link right under the heading "Campaign Custom Data Descriptions." From there, you can add custom descriptions.
To manage the “Campaign Custom Data” fields at the Campaign level:
Click on the "Manage Campaigns" tab on the navigation bar.
Click the "edit" link for the campaign you would like to configure this for.
Click on the "campaign Options" drop down and select the "Manage Custom Data" option.
Add descriptions and values for the custom variables.
You can also use the drop down menu to add descriptions from the Account level. Drop down menu shown below.
After selecting a value from the drop down list, it will be carried over to the description field. When finished, click the "Update Campaign" button to save.
